The UQ Oral Health Building was a major project undertaken by one of Brisbane’s premier architectural firms – Cox Rayner. This unique building was built with design, aesthetic appearance, and practicality all foremost in mind. We installed Motorised External Roller Blinds ( our HM80110 system ) throughout several levels in the building, linked together and on timers so that they all lowered down at the same time each day when the sun was directly on the windows, and later retracted at times they were not needed for shade. The blinds had drops of 2800 or 3400 to suit each levels structural requirements. The fabric used was from our premium external fabric range – Helio 86, in an off-white colour ( Driftwood ). While the blinds are exposed to external elements they actually have glass panes covering most of the blinds which helps keep the light coloured fabric clean.
