The owners of this modern home on Sydney’s Northern Beaches required a shading solution to blend with their modern style house. The requirement was for an effective solution which gave them versatility and privacy.
Their decision was to choose the Helioscreen external pivot arm blind system. The choice to use the 80-00 stainless pivot system (without a head box) for this project was due to the large overhang of the roof and the position of the awning in relation to this. The owners also liked the look of the open style product which softens all the angles of the building. The ability to have any powdercoat colour enabled the owners to blend the arms and base bar to the bricks so when retracted the system is not a standout feature.

The choice of outdoor shading fabric was given some consideration not only in the colour but also the type. The owner settled on the Helio100 range of fabric which is a highly water resistant 100% solution dyed acrylic. This fabric provides100% protection from the harsh UV and heat. This particular fabric also offers a vast range of plain and stripe designs on which they settled on a plain fabric to go with the colour scheme.
Overall, the result for the owners was a stylish product that provided them with the shading and functionality they required.
