When the project architects approached Helioscreen to help solve a direct heat problem at the Canterbury Leagues Club, the result was a clear success.
The architects needed a solution that would not obstruct the views available to the club’s indoor patrons, especially on the very sunny days that caused the heat problem. Helioscreen supplied its external motorised roller blind system for the vertical application and the Varioscreen sunroof system for the horizontal roof structure. All the systems are motorised and controlled automatically by motors and sensors. The sensors monitor the wind and keep the blind and screen systems at the optimum extensions for the prevailing conditions. In addition to the automatic operation, a manual override switch is close at hand.
