Retractable Awning With Sound Insulation & Weatherproofing

After great success with stage one works Top Ryde city shopping centre continued works to the level 1 terrace over the dining precinct by adding a further 30m balcony to the existing area.

After being involved heavily with design works for stage one Helioscreen’s systems we selected again for the new balcony area which included the Soundtex awning fabric to reduce sound by restaurant patrons for the residents living in the apartments upstairs. In combination with soundtex fabric a secondary under layer of perforated fabric was added from the Aura collection by Helioscreen. Further reducing noise and adding a soft fabric feel to the under side of the systems the Aura fabric allows airflow between the fabrics thanks to its mico perforations.

Covering two main areas at the Top Ryde City complex the Helioscreen All Seasons systems can open and close at the touch of a bottom all together or individually for the perfect level of weather protection of shade from the harsh western sun that the balcony receives late afternoon.
