Nadi International Airport in Fiji required high level sun shading due to the angle of the sun penetration into the passenger lounge. The reservation staff also directly faced these windows and the sunlight was having a significant effect on their comfort and efficiency.
The solution was internal blockout blinds with a modern fabric that blended in to the existing colour scheme and architectural finishes. There was also a requirement due to the high level and nature of the building to control all the blind systems simultaneously with one command.
Helioscreen along with our local commercial agent in Fiji came up with the solution to use a Helioscreen roller blind system with the exclusive Soho fabric which is available in a great range of colours. This system offered group motorisation along with a single blind control. This was achieved by using one of the many remote control options Helioscreen offer.
The blinds all now operate from one master switch which is controlled from the manger’s office.
The outcome is a seamless practical solution to a problem for the airport and its staff. Everybody involved was impressed with the product and outcome of the project .
