    Motorised Roller Blinds

Operational via a remote control, wall switch or smartphone app, our motorised roller blinds allow effortless light control at the touch of a button. No more walking around manually opening and closing your blinds several times a day.

For even further convenience, there’s the option to fully automate your roller blinds with light sensors and timers. Set your blinds to raise and lower while you’re on holiday for added security or time them to close when the glaring afternoon sun hits the window.

Eliminating the need for hanging chains, motorised roller blinds offer simple control for large or hard to reach windows and are safe for homes with young children or pets.

    Chain Operated Roller Blinds

Chain operated roller blinds are a simple and elegant sun control solution for easy to reach windows in shop fronts, bedrooms, living rooms or offices. They operate via a sleek stainless-steel chain and have compact, stylish end brackets that won’t detract from the aesthetic appeal of your space.

Our chain operated roller blinds come with a spring assist to guarantee easy lifting and are available in either individual or linked systems. Linking your roller blinds allows you to operate up to three blinds from a single chain, making shading large areas a breeze.

    Choice of Fabrics

Helioscreen’s roller blinds are available in an exclusive range of stylish, modern and durable anti-static fabrics. You’ll have the luxury of 17 different fabric choices in a variety of colours, textures and opacities to suit all aesthetics and lighting requirements.

    Roller Directions Explained

Our roller blinds are available in two different fabric orientations – front roll or back roll.

Front roll blinds allow the fabric to roll from the front of the roller tube. This roll direction is ideal for recess fit blinds as it allows some extra room between the window and blind for handles and frames.

Back roll roller blinds are the most popular fabric orientation. It is when the fabric falls behind the roller tube, as close to the window as possible. This roll direction is ideal for light and heat reflection on face mounted blinds as it creates minimal gaps between the blind and window.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Roller Blind FAQ’s

How do you clean roller blinds?

For general cleaning of your roller blinds, we recommend dusting the fabric and base bar with a feather duster to remove any build-up of dirt.

For spot cleaning, we recommend gently wiping the fabric with a damp sponge and mild detergent.

To find out more about the do’s and don’ts of roller blind cleaning, see our article here.

How much do roller blinds cost?

Helioscreen’s roller blinds are made unique to your exact requirements, so it’s hard to give a definitive indication of cost.

Our roller blinds can range anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars depending on their size, operation and additional features.

To find out exactly how much roller blinds will cost for your home or business, contact our friendly team today.

Do roller blinds keep heat out?

Absolutely. When made with a blackout fabric, blackout roller blinds reduce up to 64% of the sun’s heat and radiation. They enhance the energy efficiency of the building, keeping the indoors cool in summer and retaining heat in winter.

Even better, with double roller blinds, you can enjoy the insulating capabilities of a blackout fabric and a light filtering sunscreen or translucent fabric within the one system.

What are the best materials for roller blinds?

Roller blinds are available in a variety of materials, such as:

    • Polyester
    • PVC
    • Vinyl

The best material for your indoor blinds will be determined by the type of blind and the room they’re in. Polyester or PVC roller blinds are great for living rooms and bedrooms, whereas an aluminium or plastic venetian blind may be ideal for high moisture areas like bathrooms.

Chain operated or motorised roller blinds?

Chain operated roller blinds offer a simple and elegant sun control solution for your home. They’re easy to operate and feature compact and discreet end brackets that won’t take away from the aesthetic appeal of your space.

For those after instant light, heat and glare at the touch of a button, you can’t go wrong with motorised roller blinds. Operational via a remote control, wall switch or full building integration, motorised blinds are the ideal effortless shading solution.

How long do roller blinds typically last?

The lifespan of roller blinds will vary depending on their quality, materials and how well you care for them.

However, generally speaking, most roller blinds will last for 7-10 years before needing replacement.

To guarantee your blinds remain beautiful and functional for years to come, ensure you’re purchasing quality roller blinds from a reputable supplier like Helioscreen. All our roller blinds come with a 5 year warranty on the motor, fabric and hardware, so you know they’re made to last.

    Are roller blinds child safe?

If they are motorised, then yes, roller blinds are child safe.

Without the need for a hanging cord pull, motorised roller blinds eliminate the risk of kids (or pets) getting caught or tangled in them. This makes them a great option for young families.

As required by law, all Helioscreen chain operated blinds also come fitted with chain safety devices to ensure the blinds are safe.
